Retool is looking for a Software Engineer to join their team. They are building a new type of development environment that makes it faster and easier to build custom business software. The engineer will work on features that impact thousands of customers and have the ability to change how applications are built. The primary technologies used are JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React. The engineer will collaborate with product and design teams to build, ship, and iterate new features.

As a frontend engineer at Retool, you will be responsible for building and extending the core functionality of our application editor using React and Typescript. You will collaborate with our design team to create a product that delights our users and contributes to the fast-paced growth of Retool.

You'll work on features that impact Retool builders globally and have the power to change how applications are built across all parts of the stack. You’ll meet with internal counterparts to enhance customer thinking and partner closely with product on building out features. Your work plays a pivotal role in enhancing existing functionality and shipping new features — optimizing the performance of our customers' applications at every turn.

Produce high-quality and engaging technical content to help developers succeed at Retool. Collaborate with engineers to document products and features. Shape documentation processes and guidelines. Advocate for improvements in content creation and tooling.
