The Commerce, Growth & Identity (CGI) team is dedicated to three business-critical areas at Disney that will help transform its media business. They create seamless user experiences for consumers who can choose from a wide range of subscription plans, enabling more choice and flexibility. The CGI team is also focused on building innovative and pioneering capabilities that will drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across Disney's streaming and digital products.
At Disney Entertainment, we are experiencing dramatic growth, reaching 225M total subscriptions globally across our streaming product portfolio. As we continue growing across all our streaming services (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Star+) we are looking for a product management leader that thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and can meet opportunities and challenges head-on.
We're seeking a Sr. Product Manager II - Commerce Performance & Insights to support building tools and capabilities for real-time monitoring and alerting across our Commerce, Growth, and Identity systems. These large scale, distributed systems include a payments system that processes billions of dollars of transactions annually, a fraud system that can provide threat assessment under 20 ms, a Pay-Per-View system that enables purchasing of hundreds of Live products per second and so many more. Also, you will assess the performance of these systems and provide insights that benefit the customers and the business. Additionally, in this highly visible role, where you'll be working cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, etc.
The Commerce platform at Disney Entertainment has experienced tremendous growth - supporting over 80 countries and 20+ currencies. We're looking for an entrepreneurial spirit, who will take this growth ahead by embracing unconventional thinking and providing "out-of-box" ideas. Responsibilities:

  • Design requirements for automated real-time dashboards to monitor and track performance of key systems
  • Create and embed trigger-based alerts for anomaly detection in real-time dashboards, and identify critical issues impacting performance of systems
  • Improve ways to capture data into existing tools like Adobe Analytics, Looker, Tableau etc.
  • Partner with engineering teams to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve anomalies, and restore system health
  • Collaborate with product to provide insights and recommendations to improve the performance of the systems, and enhance customer experience and business value
  • Establish critical metrics for performance of key systems, and develop a regular cadence to review them with senior leadership
  • Author and review requirements for measuring new products and features
  • Make decisions both independently and in concert with other teams while balancing collaboration and push-back as needed


Basic Qualifications

  • You have 7+ years of relevant work experience within direct-to-consumer, ecommerce, finance/fintech, media, and/or subscription services in domestic and/or international markets is preferred
  • Experience with data visualization to demonstrate and explain trends, patterns, outliers etc. to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with processing large, complex data sets, and deriving product & business recommendations
  • Expertise with structured or unstructured databases, and data processing languages such as SQL and Python
  • You have the ability to weave data into a narrative and tell a story, and recommend constructive next steps
  • You communicate exceptionally well - from small group discussions to large group presentations, and through strong product analytics memos that help drive alignment across multiple teams
  • Experience with anomaly detection, machine learning, and artificial intelligence capabilities at a large scale is a plus


Required Education
Education in STEM, technology, or business domains. An undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, finance, mathematics, economics or related disciplines is a plus, MBA preferred
The hiring range for this position in Washington D.C. is $152,200 to $204,100 per year, in Seattle, WA is $159,500 to $213,900 per year and in San Francisco, CA is $166,800 to $223,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
