About the role

We're seeking a strategic and results-driven leader to join our Strategy, Marketing, and Operations (SOM) team, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. As VP of COO Initiatives, you will drive cross-functional alignment, oversee key planning processes, and enhance organizational effectiveness during a period of growth and transformation. You will be a critical partner to the COO, ensuring teams are aligned on priorities, tracking progress, and communicating key achievements.

  • Collaborate with the COO on budgeting, including annual planning and quarterly reviews, ensuring alignment with actuals across SOM functions.
  • Oversee teams preparing budget materials and manage cross-functional programs to enhance collaboration.
  • Lead the OKR process for SOM, coordinating with the strategy and planning team, and facilitate biannual planning to set team priorities.
  • Organize updates and briefings to monitor progress and identify risks, and oversee SOM team offsites and company events.
  • Facilitate weekly leadership meetings with agendas focused on decision-making and collaboration, producing summaries and briefing documents for partner meetings.
  • Refine communication between departments and the COO, developing an internal communications plan to highlight priorities and recognize team achievements.
  • Collaborate on company-wide initiatives, prepare presentations for speaking engagements, and manage updates based on functional contributions.
  • Create a framework for cross-functional crisis response and lead projects requiring collaboration, such as engagement surveys and action planning.

We are considering applicants available to work a hybrid schedule, with three days each week onsite at our Los Angeles office.

About You

  • 15+ years of experience in fast-growing, agile companies, with exposure to multiple functions. Strong experience in entertainment, streaming media, operations, marketing, and strategy is required, along with 2+ years of management consulting experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and teams.
  • Extensive communications expertise, including executive messaging, internal comms strategy, and high-level presentation development.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience leading budgeting and OKR planning.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a keen eye for identifying bottlenecks and streamlining workflows.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach and a strong sense of urgency.
  • An MBA or equivalent experience in business, leadership, or a related field preferred
  • Passion for anime, entertainment, and pop culture is a plus.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
