WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead and assist the product development teams with new product designs to ensure manufacturability, validate process/technology
- Own and execute tool designs using NX
- Understand and communicate tool access and machine access needs
- Establish methods of coordinating critical features and tolerance stack ups across manufacturing stages
- Ability to select the best method of producing parts, tools or assemblies
- Conduct root cause failure investigations and implement associated corrective actions
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years experience in production assembly/fabrication including, composites, metallic, and production manufacturing operations on air vehicles (manned or unmanned).
- Demonstrated ability in distinguishing critical design differences between Prototype and Production tooling
- Experience with detailed tooling requirements for composite manufacturing processes including lamination, curing, trimming, and bonding
- Experience designing mechanical parts (CAD). Understanding of manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, etc)
- Familiar with material selection for a variety of design solutions.
- Experience with ergonomic design considerations for tool end users
- Ability to read and interpret laser tracking inspection reports
- Display willingness to work and communicate in a team environment.
- Experience and knowledgeable in GD&T
- BS or higher degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or equivalent Engineering discipline
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in NX/Teamcenter
- 10+ years of experience in Tool Design
- Experience with press molding, VARTM/RTM, and autoclave
- Aviation, automotive passion demonstrated through certifications, licenses, or hobbies.
- Hands on experience laminating parts.
- Active U.S. Secret security clearance
US Salary Range
$120,000-$180,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
