About the Team:

The Strategy & Operations team optimizes Clari’s path to growth & efficiency. To accomplish this, S&O designs corporate and functional strategy, rapidly launches new initiatives, provides recommendations to Clari’s management team, & runs the operating cadence. The team takes pride in intellectual honesty and being able to push and evolve the business in new and exciting ways.


About the Role:

The Strategic Pricing Manager sits at the center of several functions at Clari (Sales, Marketing, Product, and Strategy & Operations) to make sure Clari’s products are optimally priced & packaged to the market. This role solely owns pricing & packaging for the entire company across all products and geos. The role reports directly to Clari’s executive team and sits within the Strategy & Operations team - and will work very closely with Sales, Product/Engineering and Finance, which reflects the cross-functional nature of this role. Essential to this role will be knowledge of strategic pricing and product management best practices along with superb data analytics & visualization skills.


This is a fully remote opportunity and can be worked from any location in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Market Research. Conduct market research on competitors in similar and adjacent markets and/or products, including competitive solutions’ pricing strategies
  • P&P Construct Design. Investigate & evaluate pricing and packaging strategies to take advantage of market opportunities to accelerate growth
  • New Product Pricing. Partner with the Product team to quantify market opportunities in the product roadmap. Design & lead qualitative and quantitative sales and customer research to test strategy hypothesis on pricing & packaging 
  • P&P Analytics. Monitor actual value derived by customers versus the price paid and optimize price & value delivered to customers
  • P&P Reporting. Report on price realization, price trends, packaging insights
  • Field Enablement. Be the go-to person for all things Pricing & Packaging (trainings, materials, sales kickoff meetings, consultations with AE, AM, CS, PS)
  • Pricing Offers. Partner with the GTM teams on designing relevant pricing offers to meet certain objectives (e.g., target certain accounts, market certain messages)
  • Deal Construction. Work with Deal Desk to determine proper discounting strategy, enable flexible deal construction, strategize with sellers on pricing proposals

Qualifications:

  • Prior expertise in pricing preferred (pricing consulting, pricing/product strategy, or product management)
  • 5+ years of experience in a transformational strategic pricing role
  • 2+ years of experience in a software technology company in a SaaS pricing role delivering strategic recommendations to leadership and developing analytical frameworks to determine the best outcomes
  • Strong attention to detail and data analysis skills – including interpretation of results and recommending actions
  • Advanced experience with data analysis, dashboarding, and financial modeling/analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to detailed solutions to form an outcome and recommendation to senior leadership

    Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to specific work location, skill set, depth of experience, education and certifications.


    The salary range for this position is $116,000 to $174,000. The compensation package for this position also includes stock options and company-paid benefits, including well-being and professional development stipends.
