What We Do:
Calm has a wide range of consumer-facing partnerships across industries including telecoms, retailers, ecommerce, finance, sports, auto, consumer goods, and more. Partners are geographically spread from the USA to Australia and we’re expanding with new partnerships all the time.
We are now seeking an experienced Strategic Partner Manager to take responsibility for launch/go-to-market of new strategic partnerships and to maximize the in-life potential of those partnerships. The Strategic Partner Manager will work closely with our Business Development Managers who are responsible for partner acquisition and commercial relationships, as well as the rest of our Partnerships team and supporting functions.
Travel may be involved. You will report to the Head of Partner Success and work cross-functionally with other Calm teams (e.g. Legal, Marketing, Product…). You will work alongside another Strategic Partner Manager and split partnerships primarily by location of partner.
We are hiring remote workers for this role in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York City, or Minneapolis areas. At this time, only candidates in these locations will be considered.
Job Summary (What You’ll do):
- Alongside Business Development Managers, participate in partner qualification and selection
- Manage and own all client-facing partnership tasks and communications
- Assume day-to-day responsibility of partnerships and build excellent relationships within the partner’s organization – from C-level to Marketing and Sales - You will be the ‘go to‘ person for the partner’s needs
- Be the driving force behind executing marketing/sales/retail/proposition activities with the partner to ensure that partnership commitments are delivered.
- Evaluate, seek and secure upsell opportunities by unlocking and bringing value to both Calm and our partners
- Using analytical frameworks and tools, carry out detailed analysis and generate insights about the partnerships to quickly spot and resolve any issues and opportunities
- Coordinate with other relevant departments across Calm’s business to drive win – win opportunities such as Product, Marketing, and more.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in managing marketing plans and campaigns
- Keen sense for prioritization, both internally and externally with partners
- A self-starter that isn’t afraid to step in when needed
- You understand that collaboration and team play is key to success
Nice to Haves
- Experience with a range of partners, from small to large scale.
- Experience working across international time-zones.
- BA/BS degree
Minimum Requirements
- This role typically requires 5 years of related experience.
- Proven Business Development/Partner Management background.
- Open to working in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.
Calm uses a geographic pay model that determines salaries based on the location where an employee lives. For this position, the base pay ranges across Calm’s pay tiers is as follows:
$106,000-$162,000
The base pay range represents the low and high end of Calm’s salary range for this position. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.
Calm uses employee zip code to determine which pay range applies.
This role is also eligible for equity + comprehensive benefits + 401k + flexible time off.
