Job Duties and Responsibilities
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor in designing, developing, and deploying highly scalable and resilient backend web services on AWS. You will leverage cloud-native technologies and best practices to build robust, performant, and maintainable solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about backend development, possesses a strong understanding of distributed systems, and has a proven track record of building high-volume services. You will be part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable, fault-tolerant application solutions for enterprise projects on AWS.
  • Architect and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
  • Develop and maintain integration projects using EAI middleware and serverless architectures.
  • Lead cloud migration efforts, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance when transitioning on-premise environments to AWS.
  • Establish coding standards, conduct code reviews, and deploy applications in containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes) on AWS.
  • Monitor system performance, optimize efficiency, troubleshoot incidents, and mentor junior engineers in cloud best practices.


Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • 6+ years of software development experience, specializing in backend systems and services.
  • Expertise in message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ for efficient data streaming and communication.
  • Proficiency in containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS) for scalable deployments.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Strong knowledge of development tools like Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Extensive experience designing and deploying RESTful microservices and distributed systems on AWS.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Java with Spring Framework and Spring Boot
  • Proficient working with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (Redis, DynamoDB, MongoDB)
  • Deep understanding of Java multithreading, concurrency, and memory management
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Shell scripting (bash, sh, zsh)
  • Strong background in Agile development methodologies

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $157,300.00/Year
