Employees within a 90-minute radius of our Oak Brook, IL headquarters are required to adhere to the company in-office work guidelines of 4 days per month minimum from 10 am to 2 pm (1 of the 4 days must be a Monday or Friday).

Job Summary & Responsibilities
The Head of Strategic Planning will report to the Managing Director, Strategy & Products. This role is responsible for supporting and enabling long-term strategic planning at the organizational and business levels. The head of Strategic Planning will partner with leaders across the organization to identify, evaluate, articulate, and gain alignment around long-term strategy. They will create the right structures, governance, forums, and include the right leaders that support strategic plan development, long-term vision alignment, investment committee approvals, and overall business decisioning. They will work closely with Product Portfolio leaders, general managers, functional leaders, and gather and support market and competitive analysis, opportunities and options, recommendations and critical execution milestones, and other components of the strategic plan.

  • Assesses the market and competitive environment; shares point of view and recommendations with executive leadership
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to formulate long-term strategies and the short-term actions required to achieve the long-term vision
  • Conducts research to understand customer, societal, and regulatory trends
  • Translating high-level strategies into actionable plans for teams across the organization
  • Supports organic and inorganic growth initiatives, develops business plans, and conducts analysis to recommend optimal paths forward
  • Coordinates with stakeholders across the enterprise to develop and ensure execution of critical tasks for strategic initiatives
  • Works with executive committee to plan and communicate around various milestones such as board meetings, investor days, and industry events
  • Strong project management skills including developing work plans
  • Other duties as assigned


Preferred Qualifications
Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Liberal Arts
  • 7-10 years of applicable experience in in Strategy, management consulting, business planning, strategic project management, product management, or other related fields


Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to solve routine problems of moderate complexity following established policies and procedures
  • Excellent analytical skills with a proactive nature
  • Strong organization skills with a drive to meet deadlines
  • An affinity for accuracy and efficiency
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word (including mail merge) and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • An aptitude for prioritization and multi-tasking
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • A drive to learn and apply new concepts quickly
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred


Other Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer


Compensation & Benefits
$190,000-$215,000 per year
