What You'll Do:
As the Senior Director of Corporate PR, you will be responsible for developing and executing high-impact media relations and corporate communications strategies that position ServiceNow as a market leader. This role is pivotal to shaping our external narrative, driving media coverage, and elevating the visibility of our executive team. The ideal candidate is an experienced, media-savvy communications leader who excels at building strong media relationships, crafting compelling narratives, and collaborating cross-functionally to amplify our company's voice in the market.
How You'll Do It:

  • Corporate Communications Strategy: Lead the development and execution of a corporate PR strategy that aligns with business objectives, enhances brand perception, and elevates ServiceNow's profile across key media outlets.
  • Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with top-tier media, industry analysts, and influencers. Drive a proactive media engagement strategy to secure impactful coverage that highlights ServiceNow's vision, business momentum and milestones, leadership, and product innovation.
  • Executive Visibility: Work closely with senior executives to build their public profiles through strategic media engagements; collaborate with executive communications on speaking opportunities and thought leadership initiatives. Prepare executive teams with media coaching, key message development, and briefing materials.
  • Strategic Storytelling: Craft compelling, multi-dimensional narratives that capture ServiceNow's values, market positioning, and vision. Partner with internal stakeholders to align on key messaging that resonates across corporate, product, partner, and customer stories.
  • Issue and Crisis Management: Support the company's reputation by managing issues and crises with quick, thoughtful responses. Collaborate with legal, product, and internal teams to prepare and execute effective communications plans as needed.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Product, Marketing, and Sales to identify opportunities for integrated campaigns and to support product launches, thought leadership, and corporate announcements.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on corporate PR performance. Use data-driven insights to refine media strategies and demonstrate the impact of PR on brand visibility and reputation.


Qualifications

  • 15+ years in corporate communications, public relations, or media relations in the tech industry, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Previous experience in SaaS preferred; expertise in financial communications, crisis communications, brand & reputation, M&A and investments required. Global familiarity and cultural awareness critical.
  • Media Relations Expertise: Extensive network of established relationships with media and industry influencers in the tech and business sectors, with a strong record of driving impactful media coverage. Excellence with proactive pitches and story placement, as well as confidence and ability to drive stories, respond, and fact check.
  • Executive Communications: Skilled in executive support, including media coaching, briefing preparation, and strategic counsel to help leaders communicate effectively and build their profiles.
  • Strategic Storytelling: Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex information into compelling narratives for broad audiences.
  • Financial & Earnings Communications: Deep fluency in financial reporting communications, especially for quarterly and full-year earnings, financial and regulatory filings, annual reports, etc. Direct experience drafting financial remarks and messaging, as well as advising C-suite, required.
  • Crisis Management: Experience in handling issues and crises with poise and agility, using strategic communications to protect and enhance corporate reputation.
  • Collaborative Leadership: A natural team player who can work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.
  • Quick Thinking: Comfortable in a dynamic environment, able to make decisions quickly and think strategically under pressure.
  • Self-Starter: Highly motivated and able to work independently, balancing big-picture thinking with hands-on execution.

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $212,100-$381,900, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs.
Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
