Software Engineer III - React & Java Spring Boot Developer

As a Software Engineer III - React & Java Spring Boot Developer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Develop micro-frontends using React, providing intuitive, responsive, and dynamic user interfaces
- Develop microservices using Spring Boot, ensuring the application is secure, performant, and scalable
- Work with AWS services such as ECS, Fargate, RDS Postgres, SQS, and SMS
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers in an Agile scrum environment and implement features
- Write clean, maintainable code that adheres to coding standards, with a focus on performance, security, and scalability
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to meet performance and reliability requirements
- Continuously learn and implement best practices for software engineering, micro-frontends, microservices, and cloud-native development

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience
- Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot for building microservices and RESTful APIs
- Proficiency in React (JavaScript and/or TypeScript) to build responsive and dynamic user experiences
- Hands-on practical experience with AWS services, like ECS, Fargate, SNS, SQS, RDS Postgres
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment, specifically within an Agile/Scrum environment
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and optimize both frontend and backend components
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and design patterns such as micro frontends
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- AWS Certification(s) (Associate or above)
