About the team

At Roku, our Ads Measurement product team is building measurement products and collaborating with industry leaders in the ad measurement space to effectively measure the impact of CTV Media on advertiser outcomes. The product team works cross-functionality to understand advertiser needs and market opportunities, analyzes data to draw insights and learnings, collaborates on a thoughtful go-to-market plan to drive the success of the latest features, and works hand-in-hand across multiple engineering, Data Science, and UX teams. The product team's largest contribution is to provide the what and why strategy backed by data for feature development and ensure the success of the business line. 


About the role

The Senior Product Manager role for Roku’s Ad Platform is a highly technical and data-driven role that requires a strong understanding of the ad stack, basic ad measurement, and data flow concepts, the evolving identity landscape, and a sound understanding of basic API and database architecture concepts. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in product management and data analytics/APIs. They will be working to solve Measurement and Data onboarding/sharing problems for top global & D2C brands and other partners to drive insights and quantify ad effectiveness. You'll identify new market opportunities, define the what/why statements for product features, understand customer needs, and drive cross-functional success between data science, engineering, marketing, and sales 

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $129,000 - $255,000 annually.

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What you'll be doing

  • Design, develop, and enhance APIs that support data access and reporting across various ad tech platforms. 
  • Map and optimize data flows across internal and external systems, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and delivery. 
  • Work closely with data engineering and analytics teams to structure data tables that enable accurate measurement and reporting. 
  • Ensure API scalability, reliability, and security by defining clear technical requirements and working with engineering teams to implement best practices. 
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications, including API schemas, data models, and processing workflows. 
  • Shape the future of event-level data collection & reporting products for advertisers  
  • Build and evolve products that generate insights around the effectiveness of Roku media spend towards advertiser outcomes 
  • Create and communicate product strategy, roadmap, plans, and progress to stakeholders 
  • Stay on top of industry trends in the advertising ecosystem, especially concerning data, privacy (Chrome Privacy Sandbox, Apple Ad Attribution Kit, etc.) 
  • Define metrics and KPIs you will use to measure the success of your products 


We're excited if you have

  • 5+ years of product management experience with a focus on ad tech, data platforms, or ad measurement/analytics products.
  • Knowledge of ad measurement, and its underlying infrastructure and key processes 
  • Lead the buildout, launch, and adoption of new API-based products used in digital advertising 
  • A systems thinker with a technical product mindset.
  • Understands how APIs, databases, and data pipelines interact across an ad tech ecosystem and can write clear technical requirements and collaborate effectively with engineers. 
  • Exceptional Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable leveraging large amounts of data to drive decisions, can break down complex data and business problems into structured, logical solutions , and comfortable with SQL 
  • Strong familiarity with ad measurement methodologies, including attribution, lift testing, and MMM 
  • Knowledge of identity resolution and privacy-safe data collaboration, including clean rooms and differential privacy. 
  • Experience working cross-functionally with global engineering, Data Science, Legal, Product Marketing, Sales, and collaborating with other product teams to identify our clients' needs and gather requirements to solve them 
  • Experience presenting to customers and executive leaders - possess excellent interpersonal skills, as well as align a diverse set of stakeholders towards a common goal 
  • Bachelors or Masters in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or related field
