The Opportunity

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Senior Manager, Real Estate & Workplace, to join our People team. This role will assume a broader and more strategic function within the Workplace Experience team. Your responsibilities will include managing physical office facilities and delivering hospitality services. Additionally, you will oversee all Hub Managers and locations within a region, lead complex projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across all workplace operations. This role is crucial in shaping the long-term vision for facilities and hospitality services, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals, and mentoring Hub Managers.

In this role, you will: 

  • Manage operations across multiple office locations to ensure consistent service and operational excellence.
  • Standardize processes while balancing local needs with global consistency and best practices.
  • Conduct regular site assessments to identify improvement opportunities aligned with company standards.
  • Supervise Hub Managers, providing guidance on operations and career development for their teams.
  • Build high-performing teams through training and professional development programs.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term strategies for workplace operations and employee experience.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and overall performance of workplace facilities.
  • Monitor KPIs related to facilities and services to evaluate success and drive decision-making.
  • Manage budgets, including forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting across multiple locations.
  • Oversee cross-functional projects and major operational issues, ensuring solutions are achieved effectively.

Qualifications

  • Has a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in facilities management, real estate, or workplace operations, with a focus on multi-site management.
  • Proven experience in leadership roles managing teams across multiple locations.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Strong understanding of facilities management best practices and operational standards.
  • Experience in conducting site assessments and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with experience in developing long-term operational strategies.
  • Proven ability to build and foster strong cross-functional partnerships
  • Knowledge of workplace trends, including hybrid and remote work practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of advocating for resources and leading cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, particularly in overseeing large-scale renovations or relocations.

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations. 

Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future. 

San Francisco: 

Zone 1: $170,000 – $234,000/year (USD)
