The Opportunity

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Senior Manager, Internal Communications to join our Communications team. The person in this role will develop ongoing internal communication strategies and implement initiatives to engage, inform, and align Grammarly employees. As part of their responsibilities, they will also drive toward our social impact (ESG) goals as we pursue our mission of improving lives through improving communications. 

As a Senior Manager, Internal Communications, you will . . .  

  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies and plans that engage, inform, and align employees, support business goals, and reinforce company culture.
  • Thoughtfully develop and oversee the content for various internal communication channels, including emails, newsletters, and Slack.
  • Partner with the executive team to create content and lead internal comms announcements.
  • Ensure that all internal communication is clear, consistent, and timely.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to effectively collaborate with key stakeholders in HR, legal, and executive leadership to ensure alignment, consistency, and clarity in communication.
  • Work alongside the comms team to guide and support internal communication inquiries and other teams as needed.
  • Lead social impact initiatives, including developing reports and action plans to ensure Grammarly makes an intentional positive impact with stakeholders and communities. 
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team. 

Qualifications

  • 10-12+ years of experience in communications with a focus on internal communications, executive communications, and social impact
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and executing internal communications strategies and plans
  • Experience in leading social impact projects and developing sustainability strategies
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, editing, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with executives and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Tenacity for execution and delivery
  • Is able to meet in person for their team’s scheduled collaboration weeks, traveling if necessary to the hub where their team is based.

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations.

Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future.

United States: 

Zone 1: $154,000 – $212,000/year (USD)
