Essential Duties:
Contribute technical expertise and work within a focused team that designs, fabricates, integrates and tests RF and millimeter wave subsystems. Work closely with scientists and engineers to provide support in developing state of the art RF subsystems for communication, radar and sensing applications. Additional job functions include solving customer problems, writing invention disclosures, publishing papers, briefing customers, participating in proposal activities and assisting in marketing HRL expertise.
Required Skills:
Some experience with circuit design and embedded systems programming. Experience with different families of FPGAs, DSPs, or microcontrollers is desired.
A working familiarity C/C++, Python, and MATLAB. Understanding of basic circuit theory, electromagnetics, and digital signal processing.
Ability to write test and control software for complex and varied systems.
Familiarity with RF and high speed digital test equipment.
Working knowledge of RF components communication and radar systems is a plus.
Applicant must be able to interact professionally with program managers, co-workers, customers, operate complex electronic equipment, perform detailed analyses of integrated circuits, and prepare written and oral presentations.
Ability to work well in a team and independently.
Must be willing to work in a team of highly skilled engineers on complex projects, and willing to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Required Education:
Coursework in circuits, electromagnetics, and/or basic C programming.
Specialized coursework in radar, communications, antennas, and/or VHDL is a plus.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $30 - $35 per hour.
