What will I be doing? 👩‍💻👨‍💻

The Retention Marketing Specialist plays an integral role on the client team by executing calendar campaigns and flow work accurately and proactively on several Retention Marketing clients. This role requires strong time management and organization skills, as well as a solid understanding of retention (email + SMS) marketing. 

  • As the Retention Marketing Specialist, you’ll be primarily responsible for the project managing, building and scheduling of email campaigns and flow emails, including creative brief writing, HTML coding and hands-on execution in the email platform (Klaviyo) on behalf of our Retention Marketing clients and owning email production process from start to finish. 
  • On a monthly basis, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the email content calendar for both content (writing on-brand error-free copy and thorough QA) and project management. This role will lead the workflow management of email production for our clients and be responsible for meeting deadlines and holding clients accountable to timelines. 
  • You’ll work with a Retention Marketing Account Manager and/or Team Strategist and partner with them in managing Email & SMS services and support in developing strategies that grow our clients revenue.
  • Additionally, you will also support the Retention Marketing Account Manager in reporting tasks.
  • You’ll be hands on in the ESP to build automated workflows (drip campaigns), QA their logic, build segmentation, etc. 
  • You’ll coordinate with the design team to make sure the email campaigns are being executed based on the email briefs you develop and timelines are met for each campaign
Requirements
What do I need? 🤓
  • Has 2+ years of experience in retention marketing (email, sms, loyalty programs, etc.). Your current or previous role would have consisted primarily of “email”, “retention”, “CRM”, or “loyalty” marketing. 
  • ESP experience (Klaviyo required)
  • HTML experience preferred but not required, must have experience in using ESP WYSIWYG template editors
  • Shopify experience preferred, working with apps such as Yotpo, Loyalty Lion, JustUno, Privy, etc.
  • SMS experience preferred, using Klaviyo, PostScript, or Attentive.
  • Has exceptional content writing skills, can come to the table with creative content ideas for our clients, and adapt their writing style to a client’s tone of voice and style.
  • Has an understanding of email analytics and pulling insights from those analytics. 
  • Knows the difference between email campaigns and email flows/drip campaigns/automations and how to use them effectively. 
  • Can easily create segmented lists.
  • Is driven and looking to grow at a fast-paced company.
