We are currently seeking an experienced Software QA Engineer dedicated to ensuring the reliability, quality, and performance of our web-based SaaS products. This role is based in Cebu, Philippines. You'll be an integral part of our web development team, collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver outstanding user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning and Execution:

  • Create comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Perform rigorous manual testing to detect, document, and clearly report software defects.

  • Manage and prioritize defects within the bug-tracking system to ensure timely resolution.

Test Case Design:

  • Develop and implement effective test strategies, covering unit, integration, system, performance, and regression testing.

  • Produce clear, concise, reusable test cases that thoroughly cover edge cases and complex scenarios.

Defect Tracking and Reporting:

  • Document defects precisely with clear reproduction steps and relevant contextual details.

  • Work closely with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, best practices, and compliance throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Proactively identify quality risks and recommend actionable preventive measures.

Collaboration:

  • Engage actively with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to align on requirements and project expectations.

  • Participate in code reviews, design meetings, and sprint planning to embed quality into product development continuously.

Optional but Highly Valued Skills:

Automation Testing:

  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or similar.

  • Ability to create, maintain, and improve automation scripts.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (JavaScript, TypeScript) and associated testing frameworks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent professional experience).

  • In-depth understanding of SDLC, QA principles, and testing methodologies.
