Overview

Inovalon is seeking an experienced executive to lead our Insights Business Unit as President and General Manager, overseeing our comprehensive portfolio of data solutions powered by the Inovalon ONE® Platform. As President and General Manager, you'll lead a dynamic business unit that provides critical data insights across the healthcare and life sciences ecosystem. 

This is a unique opportunity to lead a business unit that's advancing healthcare through data-driven insights. You'll have the autonomy to drive meaningful change while working with a talented team committed to improving healthcare outcomes through innovative analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain an expert level of knowledge regarding products, services, capabilities, infrastructure, and operations of Employer and its affiliates, the marketplace, competition, strategic positioning, threats and direction to achieve optimal insight and success with respect to Employer's (and those of its affiliates) products, services, capabilities, support, functionality requirements, and financial performance.
  2. Serve as the ultimate general manager of Employer’s Insights business unit (the “Business Unit”), and ultimately be responsible for all aspects of the growth, day-to-day functionality, operation, personnel, business development, support, and financial performance pertaining to the Business Unit in such a manner as to achieve the Business Unit’s annual operating plans, and maximize Employer’s overall success, achievement of corporate mission, and achievement of fiscal goals, including, with respect to the Business Unit, the responsibility to:
    1. Sales: Oversee and be ultimately responsible for the Business Unit’s business development, sales, marketing, and communications of the products and services in such a way as to maximize the realization of market opportunity, growth, financial goals, brand awareness, market leadership, and overall reputation;
    2. Delivery: Oversee and be ultimately responsible for the Business Unit’s product, solution, and service implementations, operations, and client relations/service/success to achieve high client value realization, client satisfaction, client referenceability, and client retention, cross sell, and upsell rates;
    3. Product Portfolio: Oversee and be ultimately responsible for the Business Unit’s product, solution, and service offering portfolio innovation, development, maintenance, enhancement, and expansion necessary to achieve and maintain meaningful value for clients, market differentiation, competitive success, and the capture of increasing market share;
    4. Product Performance: Oversee and be ultimately responsible for the ongoing operation, performance, deliverable quality, accuracy and timeliness, regulatory compliance, and contractual obligations of all Business Unit products, services, and solution offerings;
    5. Financial Performance: Oversee and be ultimately responsible for the growth and financial performance of the Business Unit (revenue, gross margin, operating margin, and Adjusted EBITDA) in such a way as to meet or exceed annual operating plans; and
    6. Reporting: Oversee and be ultimately responsible for the Business Unit’s internal reporting, projections support, metrics presentation, performance tracking, and other such business intelligence reporting as may be needed to successfully and predictably deliver the products, solutions, and services.
    7. Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A): Oversee and be ultimately responsible for the Business Unit’s development of post-merger integration plans, identifying potential synergies, and coordinating cross-functional teams to execute the integration process.
  3. Maintain comprehensive communication with Inovalon management and appropriate internal personnel, vendors, and clients regarding timelines, readiness, needs, risks, cost implications, resource requirements, and all other material aspects related to the overall operations and strategic direction of the Business Unit and/or other matters with material relevance to the Company;
  4. Serve as a key leader of Employer’s executive leadership, promoting Employer’s values, driving and supporting Employer leadership in the strategic development of initiatives to identify enhancements which may improve products, services, operations, employee satisfaction, client appeal, process flow, and overall business function, industry reputation, and financial performance of the Company;
  5. Adhere to all confidentiality, HIPAA, regulatory, and other such policies, procedures, and requirements as outlined within Employer’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the scope of work;
  6. Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement; and
  7. Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; and
  • Master's degree or equivalent preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time);
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions;
  • Travel for this position may be up to 50% as needed to perform job responsibilities.
