Job Description
Enterprise Horizon Consulting Group is seeking a skilled Oracle WebLogic Administrator with extensive experience in WebLogic Middleware to support the migration of on-premise applications to the cloud. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the WebLogic Middleware environment, assisting in the cloud migration process, performing cloud configurations, and ensuring system stability during the migration. Responsibilities may include:
- AWS GovCloud Migration: Assist in the planning, preparation, and execution of the migration of Oracle WebLogic Middleware environments to the cloud. Work with cloud architects and engineering teams to ensure that the WebLogic configuration is optimized for cloud performance, scalability, and security.
- WebLogic Middleware Administration: Provide expert-level support for Oracle WebLogic Middleware, including installation, configuration, patching, tuning, troubleshooting, and day-to-day management.
- Cloud Configuration & Deployment: Collaborate with the team to configure services (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, etc.) to host WebLogic Middleware applications. Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery within the cloud environment.
- Performance Tuning & Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of WebLogic Middleware applications and services within AWS. Implement strategies to optimize resource utilization, load balancing, and failover mechanisms.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts and templates to facilitate the deployment, scaling, and management of WebLogic Middleware environments. Use Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to streamline processes.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide troubleshooting support for any issues related to WebLogic Middleware. Quickly identify root causes of performance issues and application failures, coordinating with other teams as needed for resolution.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure the security of WebLogic Middleware environments, following best practices for patch management, access control, encryption, and monitoring. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Maintain detailed documentation of WebLogic Middleware configuration, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures. Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members.
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Security+ or higher-level certification.
- Expertise in WebLogic Middleware administration, including installation, configuration, tuning, and performance monitoring.
- Experience with cloud architectures and best practices, specifically for WebLogic Middleware deployments in AWS.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a strong focus on cloud and middleware performance.
