Job Description:

Are you passionate about cybersecurity and eager to share your expertise? Pluralsight is looking for experienced professionals to create high-quality training content in key areas of cybersecurity. This contract-based, freelance opportunity lets you shape the future of security education while working on your own schedule.

Key Focus Areas

We’re actively developing content in the following cybersecurity topics:

Red Team Operations – Teach strategies for adversarial simulations, penetration testing, and offensive security tactics.

Threat Intelligence – Share insights on gathering, analyzing, and applying intelligence to anticipate and counter cyber threats.

Secure Coding – Provide best practices for writing resilient, secure code to mitigate vulnerabilities.(Java & C#, .NET & OWASP)

Security Analysis – Detection and analysis of cyber threats using SIEM and IDS/IPS solutions, including Elastic, Splunk, Zeek, Snort, etc.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop in-depth cybersecurity content that aligns with industry needs and best practices.

  • Create engaging training materials, including video courses and hands-on labs.

  • Develop and structure course outlines, scenarios, and demo environments; produce slides to a provided set of standards and practices; narrate, record, and edit screen captures and slide-based presentations.

  • Stay ahead of cybersecurity trends through research and industry engagement.

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Extensive experience as a cybersecurity practitioner - ideally in areas such as: penetration testing, threat intelligence, red teaming, secure coding, or incident response.

  • Experience as an author, content creator, instructor, and/or trainer.

  • A passion for teaching and creating content: whether as an instructor, trainer, or author.

  • The ability to translate complex cybersecurity concepts into clear, engaging learning experiences.

Desired Experience (but not required):

  • Experience in creating educational video content like online courses, tutorials, webinars, or technical presentations.

  • Basic video editing skills including trimming, adding annotations, and improving audio quality 

  • to ensure professional and engaging content.

  • Familiarity with screen recording tools (e.g. Camtasia, OBS Studio, or Adobe Premiere) for capturing high-quality demonstrations and walkthroughs.

This is a freelance, contract-based position, meaning you have the freedom to create content on your terms while making a lasting impact in the cybersecurity space.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Work is performed in an office (or home office) environment and requires the ability to operate office equipment and keyboards. Sedentary work. Repetitive work. Ability to perform tasks related to documentation, data analysis, transcription, and extensive content analysis. Learn new tasks, remember processes, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions in the context of a workflow.
