Job Overview
Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a talented Marketing Content Writer to join our Content Marketing team. The Marketing Content Writer delivers high-quality written communications to support the company's marketing plans, as well as support broader research and development of content, including product collateral, sales enablement, corporate and content marketing materials, to drive brand awareness and engagement through integrated communications, outreach, and promotions across a variety of marketing platforms.
What You'll Do

  • Work directly with Product Marketing and internal subject matter experts to ensure quality and timely delivery of marketing communications assets in alignment with organizational strategy and marketing plans, reflecting the organization's brand voice, company and product messaging platforms.
  • Take various product category and communications briefs and generates unique, creative, and original content that garners attention and facilitates clear communication with targeted market segmentations.
  • Champion our brand and product voice. Support management of content and branding style guides to protect and oversee brand representation across messaging platforms.
  • Proofread, copy edits and revises marketing assets, including assets produced by product marketing, demand generation, the event team and corporate communications.


What You'll Need to Succeed
We're looking for someone who:

  • Is able to work on a hybrid basis (1 day per week) from either our Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta or Toronto offices


Your experience should include some or all of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, English or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • 2 to 4 years of B2B marketing experience
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and research skills
  • Proficiency in AP Style
  • Experience with writing for personalization, segmentation and A/B testing a plus
  • Relentless attention to detail and dedication to consistently developing quality, error-free content
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where the demands and directions of the work frequently change
  • Ability to synthesize complex information
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud


Additionally, you may have:

  • Software/technology marketing experience
  • Knowledge of writing for social media and SEO
