Job Overview
Applied Systems, Inc., the worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Product Instructor to join our Activation Services Team, delivering training on Applied software products to clients who are migrating to our platform. As a Product Instructor, you will be responsible for learning our products and applying your training skills to effectively help our customers implement and adopt our solutions either on-site at our client's facilities, at an Applied Systems facility, or using a virtual classroom. After completion of an initial 4-month program, you will begin delivering training independently.
What You'll Do

  • Complete initial client onboarding:
    • Successfully complete all assigned assessments
    • Demonstrate the ability to train all workflows that are part of the pre-activation training for client staff
    • Successfully deliver training in a co-teaching capacity with a Team Manager, Team Lead, or mentor
    • Successfully prepare and follow up on assigned engagements
    • Display the ability to locate, understand, and leverage internal tools that provide insight to the customer and training needs (examples include OpenAir, Implementation Confluence Pages and/or OneNote, Client View, sales documentation, etc.)
  • Once cleared to conduct client-facing training, with guidance from Manager, Onboarding & Staff Development or Team Manager, facilitate pre-planning discussions with clients to map out, document, and communicate the strategic direction of system usage and staff training
  • Train from a defined curriculum with documented agendas, leveraging the management team to assist with adjustments necessary to accommodate a client's desired training plan needs
  • Focus on training clients during the implementation process on the basics needed to effectively use our solutions at system activation using approved training materials
  • Complete available Staff Development assignments as determined with Team Manager necessary to continue advancing knowledge of the Digital Agency and enabling the successful delivery of more challenging training courses


What You'll Need to Succeed
We're looking for someone who:

  • Can work remotely or from an Applied Systems office
  • Is able to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Comes from an insurance agency background


Your experience should include some or all of the following:

  • 2+ years of experience in a formal Training and/or a Learning & Development role
  • Exceptional public speaking, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • Skilled at working with a variety of multimedia training platforms
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred

Additionally, you may have:

  • Prior experience with broker management systems
  • Hands-on experience with Applied Systems products, specifically Applied Epic AMS
  • Experience with Resource Planning (ERP) or financial management systems
