Payroll Manager will oversee payroll administration activities. Activities include maintaining related records, filing tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, preparing accounting transactions and documents, documenting and updating procedures, and preparing special reports for management. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills, a high level of accuracy, ability to stay focused on details, strong technical and problem-solving skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for independently managing all day-to day payroll activities of U.S. Payroll including coordination with the key internal teams as well as external payroll vendor to ensure an accurate and timely payroll on periodical basis.
• Review semi-monthly payroll for 500+ US employees in multiple states; including timely submission of 401k contributions.
• Partner with Human Resources on all matters involving employees compensation, benefits and disability payments. Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits, leave of absence, RSU, Stock options, ESPP and 401(k) contributions and funding

• Payroll accounting activities (calculating and posting journal entries)
• Mentor, develop, hire and train staff
• Manage internal/external payroll audits
• Manage relationships with external payroll providers in all locations
• Drive, review and audit work performed by your function, including auditing payroll data, ensuring accurate wages, tax withholdings, deductions, and garnishments and process quarterly tax adjustments, end-of-year payroll tax and reporting compliance

• Document and enforce internal controls in compliance with company’s SOX procedures
• Drive special projects, including process documentation and improvements, system updates, integrations, upgrades or implementations, including reimplementing US payroll

• Experience with stock administration (such as Equity Edge) will be a plus
