Zoox is seeking an experienced Manager of Contingent Workforce Operations to lead and scale our contingent workforce program. This leader will drive operational excellence, process improvements, and strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance. The role requires close partnership with Business Leaders, Recruiting, HR, Procurement, Legal and Finance teams to ensure seamless program execution.
This individual will oversee a team of Program Managers, Recruiters, Specialists, and Coordinators, ensuring smooth and effective contingent workforce operations as Zoox expands across multiple locations.
In this role, you will...
- Lead and manage Zoox’s contingent workforce program, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and a positive experience for hiring managers.
- Partner with business leaders to understand workforce needs, align strategies, and optimize contingent talent.
- Ensure fulfillment goals are met by managing supplier relationships, driving quality and cost-effectiveness, and optimizing processes.
- Refine and implement scalable workflows, systems, and reporting tools to enhance visibility, efficiency, and compliance.
- Analyze program performance using data and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvements and inform decision-making.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience managing contingent workforce programs, preferably in a high-growth or complex environment.
- 5+ years of experience leading teams, with a strong ability to develop and mentor direct reports.
- Expertise in contingent workforce strategy, operations, and compliance, including worker classifications and industry best practices.
- Proven experience in business partnerships, vendor management, supplier negotiations, and optimizing external partnerships.
- Extensive experience with VMS platforms (e.g., VNDLY, Beeline, Fieldglass) and an understanding of system configurations and reporting/analytics.
- Strong operational, analytical, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with financial tools and budget management related to contingent workforce programs.
Location
This hybrid role entails working in the office three days per week in our Foster City office (HQ).
Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $168,000 to $214,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
