The job

AVEVA is seeking a dynamic and motivated Legal Intern to join our Americas team in May 2025. This is a 3-month(s) internship, based in either the Houston or San Leandro office and will report to a Senior Legal Counsel. You will have the opportunity to work with and learn from the Americas Legal and Contract Management team, with exposure to AVEVA’s contract life cycle management process and the opportunity to gain insight and experience by observing customer negotiations and discussions with our internal clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be supervised by a Senior Legal Counsel located in the Houston office.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on laws and regulations or other legal matters applicable to contract or employment law
• With supervision, assist in the end-to-end process of the contract life cycle management by reviewing, drafting and revising contract documents and amendments
• Assist and contribute to the execution of legal projects
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Essential requirements

• Enrolled in a good standing and ABA-accredited law school, having completed first or second years of coursework; 2L or rising 3L student  
• Strong research, writing and interpersonal skills
• Computer proficient including MS office
• Attention to details, excellent organization skills and a team player

• Clear communicators, both verbally and in writing.

• Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.

Salary Range:

$47,700.00 - $79,500.00

This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.
