About the Role

Envoy Workplace launched in May 2023. Which has been Envoy’s fastest-growing revenue stream and is expected to continue growing at a rapid pace. This team is the core features team for Workplace and is ultimately held responsible for this product’s success and failure.

As an iOS Engineer, you’ll be directly responsible for building core product features, collecting and evaluating metrics that determine their impact on the business, and raising the bar for our app’s quality. Our engineers own the full development and release cycle and are empowered to make any technical or process changes to improve the velocity of the team.

The Envoy Mobile app is a rapidly expanding product suite, and our tech stack has been shaped by this environment. The codebase is built up by a list of modules, each responsible for a feature or product, and are brought together using dependency-injection. Much of the app is built using reactive programming, utilizing SwiftUI framework to speed up feature development.

This is a hybrid position that requires 4 days a week (Monday - Thursday) in our San Francisco HQ.

You will

  • Work with other engineers, designers, and product managers to develop excellent product experiences
  • Help us to scale the Envoy mobile app’s usage to tens of thousands of customers
  • Design core iOS application components to support the user features
  • Deliver high-quality code to reinforce the great mobile client experiences

You have  

  • 2+ years of experience with iOS Development and are proficient in Swift
  • BS / MS in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Experience with Swift Concurrency
  • Experience with SwiftUI
  • Appreciation for a fast-paced environment that values iteration
  • Experience with functional reactive programming (RxSwift, AsyncSequence, Combine)
  • Experience designing and consuming APIs
  • Understanding and opinions about scalable mobile architecture
  • Strong communication skills - the ability to articulate your ideas clearly

Nice to have

  • Experience with GraphQL
  • Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or iBeacons
  • Experience with location services
  • Experience working in large mobile codebases

Compensation description 

Envoy's compensation package includes market competitive salary, equity for all full-time roles, and great benefits. If you are located in the San Francisco Bay Area, our expected cash compensation for this role is $140K - $155K (Annually). Final offers may vary within the range provided based on experience, expertise, and other factors.
