Responsibilities

1. Technology
   1. Demonstrates aptitude in learning new technology skills as required.
   2. Demonstrates competency in use of technology and analytical tools, techniques and methodologies.
   3. Understands products/services and shares knowledge w/team.
   4. Works closely with end users to develop required data requirements.
   5. Designs, tests and verifies reporting results for accuracy.

1. Project Management
   1. Delivers assigned tasks using appropriate project management methodologies.
   2. Supports the communication of project status to Management and project sponsors.
   3. Understands the fundamentals of the department's project management activities.

Job Summary
Interns in this role will assist in researching, writing and producing live newscasts, including newsgathering for daily newscasts, creating and stacking rundowns, and writing accurate and engaging scripts. This role will work closely with the assignment desk, producers, digital team and anchors to create compelling stories on all platforms. Follow graphic format stylebook in production of programs. Direct and coordinate efforts of assigned studio personnel. Contribute to our digital platforms and participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

1. Key Experiences/Achievements
   1. Coursework in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience and technical training, is required.
   2. Interest and experience in software development, systems analysis and programming experience.

1. Technical/Functional Competencies
   1. Experience in development / analytical tools, consisting of, but not limited to the following; PL/SQL, Tableau, Python, Kafka, Grafana, GCP, GoLang, PHP, Perl.
   2. Experience working within a formal methodology for software development.

1. Management Skills
   1. Ability to perform multiple tasks and adjust priorities based on workload and direction from management.
   2. Ability to organize, plan and execute major projects under direct supervision.
   3. Verbal and written communications skills.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $29,000 - $55,000 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
