Datadog is seeking a customer-focused, data-driven, and results-oriented Head of Product Solutions Architecture (PSA) to join our high-growth organization and oversee our world-class global PSA team. This individual will chart the course, set the bar, and scale the team consistently across regions and verticals. Understand and clearly communicate Datadog's technical vision and goals, and handle complex technical conversations between our internal teams, potential and current customers, and partners.
The team has grown to cover more than 12 Product Categories and needs a Head of Product Solutions Architecture to scale the function as we grow to $5B+ in revenue. This role oversees a high-performing team that consists of front-line managers and ICs in support of Datadog's VPs of Technical Solutions, Product Management, Engineering, Enterprise Sales, and Marketing. They will also help design and build a Field CTO function to support a mix of different industries, and guide Sales leaders and Economic buyers on ROI, Value realization and white-space analysis.

What You'll Do:

  • The Team: We are Datadog's in-house product experts. The Technical Solutions (TS) team enables Datadog's worldwide growth by educating potential clients and ensuring that existing customers are happy and successful. Product Solutions Architects (PSAs) are technical multipliers who architect reusable solutions for Technical Solutions & Product Development to address customer use cases in both pre- and post-sales cycles, thereby improving our products & services to accelerate adoption, usage, retention, and growth.
  • Key Relationships: Reports to the SVP, Worldwide Technical Solutions. Partners closely with all Technical Solutions teams (Sales Engineering, Technical Post Sales, Support Engineering) and other internal teams such as Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Go-To-Market Strategy, Finance, People & Recruiting, and more.
  • Leadership: Lead and develop a team of PSA leaders & Field CTOs in AMER, EMEA, and APJ
  • Growth: Anticipate the growth of emerging products and regions to match the increasing breadth of the platform and the increasing number of customers.
  • Advisory: Be a trusted advisor to Product Management leaders by identifying industry trends and their impact and potential during customers engagements, feeding the top-of-funnel for Product, GTM, Business Value, and Architecture teams.
  • GTM: Focus on identifying new opportunities for growth in the addressable market by hiring and deploying new resources in emerging regions, product domains and industry verticals.
  • C-Level: Strategically guide CIO/CTO/CEO/CISO-level customer and prospect executives in rationalizing their adoption journey, investment and operationalizing of observability.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Enterprise and Field Marketing in providing high-quality technical resources to a broad audience of practitioners and economic buyers.
  • Prioritization: Ensure that the team is aligned to top company initiatives and enabled to work with various Datadog internal and external stakeholders.
  • Presentations: Participate in Executive Briefings with high profile customers and prospects about overall architecture, Observability Best Practices and industry trends.
  • Hiring: Assist in recruiting and hiring of top talent for the Product Solutions Architecture and Field CTO teams.


Who You Are:

  • Industry Experience: 15+ years of experience solving complex problems for customers coupled with deep knowledge of the observability space, cloud, and technological shifts
  • Management Experience: 5+ years of experience growing, developing, and leading Solution Architects, Field CTOs, and/or comparable customer-facing technical teams in a high-growth company
  • Key Stakeholders: Experienced in interacting and influencing key stakeholders (VP+ and C level) in large Enterprise organizations
  • Customer Presentations: Excellent customer-facing presentation skills for large audiences
  • Hire & Develop Talent: Experienced in recruiting both individual contributors and front-line leaders
  • Travel: Able to travel via auto, train or air up to 50% of the time
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, Master's degree preferred

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
