While being flooded with never ending IT tickets, they are also making sure Guy Fieri in Sales doesn’t buy yet another tool “promising” a 103% lead conversion rate. And burying themselves in spreadsheets to prepare the SOC2 report for when Gordon Ramsey from the Big 4 comes knocking. And can’t forget about Julia Child, the newest on-call engineer, who needs access to prod DB to investigate an incident. All of these workstreams are among spreadsheets, emails, Slack messages, and Zoom calls. But those days are numbered.

🔦 Overall description
As our first Finance Hire at Lumos, you will own all things number-related 💸 You will have the opportunity to shape how we set our annual targets, define internal processes, contribute to key new business initiatives, and work closely with our leadership team and Board of Directors.
✨ Your Responsibilities
- Investor Relations: Assist in key Investor Relations functions, such as quarterly Board Meetings reporting and preparation, fundraising, and managing banking relationships.
- Strategic Finance: Work cross-functionally to analyze long-term implications of near-term decisions that unlock new potential product and revenue opportunities (ie. new channel forecasts or SKU Pricing) or decrease expenses (ie AWS).
- Finance Operations: Not only own and improve current workflows but also identify process opportunities (such as PO purchase, Compensation Reviews, Quota tracking, etc) and build scalable solutions that solve for today’s challenges while building for tomorrow’s.
- Sales Finance: Work closely with sales leadership to define and measure annualized targets, conduct analyses, support and guide large enterprise deal structuring, and provide quarterly revenue forecasts.
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Manage operational revenue and expense models to guide business decisions and growth. Lead annual finance planning process, forecasting and resource allocations. Conduct quarterly budget v actual reviews with business partners.
- Accounting: Oversee all accounting operational functions including, but not limited to , managing external accounting firm, ensuring timely monthly closes, and managing internal control systems.
