Your impact

Handshake is hiring an Executive/Leadership Recruiter reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, you will chart out best practices and build and define how Handshake approaches our senior level hiring. You’ll play an instrumental role partnering with Handshake’s leaders to define the bar for leadership hiring, design a company-wide interview process incorporating best practices, and recruit for some of the most critical roles at Handshake. Your work will have a direct impact on the future of our growth, our culture and our ability to scale with high performance and diversity at its core.

You will have direct access and will partner closely with our most senior leaders. This role will have high visibility and will create a meaningful and lasting impact on Handshake’s business.

Your role

  • Define Handshake’s standard recruitment processes for Directors to C Suite levels – leveraging Handshake’s values in partnership with several Organizational heads
  • Embed the Director+ process into our internal playbook methodology
  • Create, embody and  educate leadership hiring standards to key stakeholders in the organization
  • Identify and partner with candidates with a high focus on underrepresented talent
  • Hire Senior leaders to Handshake that lead to successful outcomes
  • Coach and advise Handshake’s senior leaders on their searches

Your experience

  • Significant experience leading end-to-end recruitment processes with Director, VP, and C-Level candidates
  • Ability to drive influence with company executives – leading with a high emphasis of assessment and critical thinking
  • Building and establishing company-wide programs and processes that are scalable/repeatable
  • Success in operating in different environments including high growth companies
  • Combination of in-house and agency experience preferred

Bonus areas of expertise

  • Previous focus on hiring VP+ level Go-To-Market roles 

Compensation range

  • $210,000 - $225,000 + equity

For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all U.S.-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
