The Opportunity

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Growth Acquisition team. This role will lead a team of four engineers and driving forward projects aimed at growing Grammarly's top-of-funnel traffic and conversions. The responsibilities for this role include project planning, scoping and coordination across stakeholders on multiple teams, career trajectory management for direct reports, and ownership of several high-traffic top-of-funnel interactive interfaces important to Grammarly's User Journey. This role will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across product, marketing, design, and data science to conceptualize and execute projects impactful to driving user growth at Grammarly.

As Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers to tackle ambiguous growth engineering problems. You will be responsible for work and projects that meaningfully and measurably impact Grammarly's business. The growth path for this role would include expanding the team and increasing the scope and complexity of projects the team can cover.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and grow a high-performing team of 4 growth engineers.
  • Own planning and prioritization of work that will help drive user growth at Grammarly.
  • Manage day-to-day execution and alignment between stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Has 1-3 years of experience as an engineering manager.
  • Has 6+ years of prior experience working as an engineer building user-facing features.
  • Has strong domain expertise in web front-end technologies - like React, TypeScript, NextJS.
  • Has a strong track record of technical leadership and project delivery.
  • Can work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing & Design partners delivering high-quality work.
  • Experience with A/B experimentation, growth engineering, or similar.

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations. 

Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future. 

United States: 

Zone 1: $250,000 – $284,000/year (USD)

Zone 2: $225,000 – $255,000/year (USD)
