The Director of Oracle Applications is responsible for leading the governance, development, implementation, and support of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) applications. This role ensures that Oracle solutions align with business needs, optimize operations, and enhance decision-making capabilities. The Director will lead a team of Oracle professionals and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

What will your duties and responsibilities be?

The following are the essential functions of this position. This position may be responsible for performing additional duties and tasks as needed and assigned.

  • Lead the strategy, development, implementation, and maintenance of Oracle EBS applications.

  • Develop and oversee project roadmaps, budgets, and resource planning for Oracle application initiatives.

  • Ensure Oracle applications support business processes across finance, supply chain, order to cash, procure to pay, and other functional areas.

  • Oversee system upgrades, patches, and configurations to maintain system stability and performance.

  • Define and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures for Oracle EBS development, security, and data integrity.

  • Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional IT teams to identify system enhancements, automation opportunities, and process improvements as part of strategic and tactical portfolio management responsibilities.

  • Manage and mentor a team of Oracle professionals, ensuring the effective delivery of solutions and support.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and corporate IT policies.

  • Lead the integration of Oracle applications with other enterprise systems and third-party solutions.

  • Stay informed on emerging Oracle technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and efficiency.

  • Provide executive leadership with reports and insights into system performance, project progress, and business impacts.

  • Develop and execute audit plans and ensure that audit findings are addressed.

  • Provide guidance and support to Oracle teams to ensure that business requirements are considered during system design, implementation, and maintenance.

  • Regular attendance required.

  • Travel possible.  Approximately 10-15%

What skills and experience will you need?

The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities:

  • Proven experience in managing and leading Oracle ERP projects, upgrades, and support initiatives.

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite modules.

  • Experience leading teams with Oracle database architecture, PL/SQL, and system integration methodologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to align technology solutions with business objectives and operational needs.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience in managing budgets, vendor relationships, and third-party implementation partners.

  • Experience participating in system and process audits.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data issues and develop innovative solutions.

  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance within enterprise applications.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • 8+ years of experience in Oracle Applications, or similar ERPs.

What qualifications are preferred?

The education, knowledge, skills and/or abilities listed below are preferred qualifications in addition to the minimum qualifications stated above.

Education/Certifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Additional Experience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities:

  • Experience with Oracle EBS change/patch management and implementation.

  • Certification in ERP Implementation or related areas (e.g., Oracle Certified: Implementation, Agile, PMP) is a plus.

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud applications, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and hybrid environments.

  • Experience with Waterfall, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
