Agencies are a larger customer segment for WP Engine. Agencies interact with WP Engine both as resellers and referrers. Acquiring and engaging agencies is an important focus for WP Engine growth. 

As the Director, Agency Segment Marketing, you will play a critical role in aligning marketing efforts for the Agency segment directly with revenue outcomes. This leader will lead a team of 2 and report to the Sr. Director of Segment Marketing. They are responsible for overseeing the development and execution of agency segment go-to-market strategies, integrated marketing campaigns, and cross-functional collaboration with sales and other departments to ensure marketing efforts contribute to pipeline growth, sales and ecommerce success. This role requires someone who understands the nuances of partner marketing, balancing data-driven insights with the art of deeply connecting with customers through storytelling, and who can collaborate cross-functionally to achieve measurable business outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the growth of the Agency segment (and subsegments, such as strategic agency partners, and agencies who resell and refer) by developing and executing structured, impactful marketing campaigns that drive leads and revenue, and ultimately, market share

  • Focus on developing the marketing strategy, execution, and revenue ownership for the entire Agency segment and Agency Partner Program.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Agency segment including their needs, pain points, sub-segments, and unique buyer journey, from problem education through solution selection

  • Partner with Product Marketing to understand the products, features, and functionality and then translate those product messages into storylines and tailored messaging for the Agency segment

  • Brief the larger marketing organization (brand, content, channel, ops) on the campaigns required to support your segment and then manage the development and execution of those campaigns from start to finish

  • Use data to optimize marketing campaigns and measure ROI
     

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with a focus on partner marketing and demand generation in high-growth SMB2B environments. Preference for experience working in a high-growth SaaS company with a strong understanding of the SaaS sales cycle.

  • Experience focusing on and driving revenue from partners

  • Experience in complex organizations that span both an online/PLG motion and a multi-stakeholder, strategic sale process, with multiple segments and a broad product portfolio

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams 

  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies. Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to measure marketing effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities and shift based on business needs

Base Salary Range

$148,000.00 - $222,000.00

We believe that compensation should be reflective of the impact you have within the organization relative to the market value of your role. The estimated base salary range for this position is as listed above. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Our salary ranges are determined by job role and responsibilities and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for salaries for the position nationwide. The actual base pay will vary based on various factors including job-related skills and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
