About The Position:
Dotdash Meredith is seeking a Marketing and Insights Manager to support the growth of our Apple News and Commerce businesses. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring marketing performance, analyzing competitor and industry trends, and identifying key business insights. You will collaborate with Finance Analysts to refine content strategies that maximize user engagement and ROI. You will also work closely with the Digital Marketing Managers on the Commerce Platforms team. This role involves understanding user behavior, content performance metrics, promotional levers, and market trends to ensure our content is discoverable and meets the needs of our audience.
Key Responsibilities:

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

Monitor day-to-day performance, identifying trends, concerns, and areas for improvement.

Conduct A/B testing on content variations to determine the most effective formats, headlines, and layouts.

Work closely with analysts on the finance team to assess new opportunities, ROI, and implement data-driven content strategies.

Partner with the Digital Marketing Managers to analyze campaigns and provide insights to stakeholders.

Reporting & Data Analysis

Maintain and create new reports to support the business, ensuring key metrics are tracked and insights are actionable.

Develop dashboards and automated reporting tools to provide real-time performance updates.

Deliver regular reports and updates on marketing KPIs, campaign effectiveness, and audience insights to leadership and other stakeholders.

Communicate and document optimization strategies, test results, and best practices for future reference.

Market & Competitor Analysis:

Stay informed on industry trends and competitor strategies to uncover opportunities for content optimization and promotional enhancements.

Develop and maintain competitor dashboards to provide actionable insights, sharing them with brands and the research team.

This position is hybrid in-office (Des Moines), with the ability to work remotely for up to two days per week. There is some night/weekend coverage during tentpole/holiday shopping events.
About The Team:
The Commerce Platforms team is within the Transactional Department. We are a hybrid team in the Des Moines, IA office consisting of around 5 team members. Our main focus is on the Apple News business with additional attention to growing other off-platform distribution of our content.
About The Positions Contributions:
40% Ongoing reporting and analysis. Working closely with the Finance Analysts, Digital Marketing Managers, and Brands to implement/refine tests and strategies.
40% Ad hoc projects/analysis
10% Monitoring of competitor and industry trends
10% Other
The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
Education:
-
Four-year degree in Business, Marketing, or a related subject.
Experience:
-
4+ years of experience in marketing strategy, data analytics, or performance marketing.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Google Analytics, Looker, or similar.

Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets.

Experience with content optimization techniques.

Proven ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
