Title and Summary

Director, Account Management

Overview:
Your opportunity to join an agile and high performing team to grow Mastercard’s Global Acquiring business while executing on Mastercard’s strategic Product roadmap through strong relationships with one of Mastercard’s largest Global acceptance partners. The Acquiring team provides Global Account Management support for a number of key Acquirers and acceptance enablers. The team provides support for all aspects of their business, including expansion into new areas such as issuing and account to account payments.
These customers play a key role in the development and commercialization of strategic products making a strong partnership with close alignment on strategic priorities critical to the success of Mastercard as well as our clients.
You will report to the SVP Global Acceptance, taking responsibility for all aspects of the Relationship Management with our clients while driving revenue growth and deployment of strategically important products and services. In addition, you will help define the overall strategic approach to support Central Acquirers and act as a subject matter expert towards Regional/Local account leads engaged with acceptance partners Globally.
We are looking for a self-motivated, structured problem solver with a strategic mindset and an ability to form strong relationships internally as well as externally.
Role
• To defend and grow revenues through relationship management and commercialization of strong and flexible product solutions, working with key MasterCard internal stakeholders.
• Support growth through Product, Services and VAS sales
• Responsible for development and management of a successful sales pipeline of new business initiatives that supports Mastercard Strategy and goals
• Drive business development opportunities and innovative commercial proposals delivering increased revenue and/or market share.
• Broaden the relationship with client stakeholders to drive more strategic discussions and entrenchment of the MC brand
• Push the Mastercard organization to act as a Global partner of the managed accounts and ensure Global alignment on priority activities.

• Strong understanding of the Payments industry including Acquiring and Issuing

• Good communicator and influencer with strong negotiation skills
• Essential to be comfortable in a multi-tasking environment with the ability to give clear direction to team and customers alike
• Ability to build and maintain internal relationships with senior management and key stakeholders across the business, inter regional alignment and gaining support for the strategic direction of the business

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
