ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The Corporate Responsibility Manager at Cencora is a strategic leader who is pivotal in setting the strategy for ESG data collection and management, identifying key data sources, and developing channels to obtain this data. The Manager collaborates closely with the Office of Compliance and IT, guiding technical teams in decision-making and implementation to ensure the creation of a "single source of truth" for environmental, social and governance data. This collaboration supports Cencora's corporate responsibility strategy and will enhance sales enablement.
ROLE OBJECTIVES:

  • Data Source Identification: Partner with business units to identify and secure access to critical ESG data sources, ensuring comprehensive global data collection.
  • Channel Development: Develop effective channels for data acquisition, collaborating with business partners and IT to optimize data flows.
  • Business Guidance: Strategic partnership with technical teams to facilitate successful system implementations.
  • Strategic Data Integration: Develop and execute a strategy for integrating ESG data from disparate sources, ensuring centralized and accurate data management.
  • Collaboration with Compliance and IT: Work closely with the Office of Compliance and IT to implement robust systems and processes for ESG data management and governance.
  • Data Governance: Establish and promote data governance standards, ensuring alignment with data integrity, quality, architecture, and lineage protocols.
  • Global Alignment: Coordinate with global business partners to ensure consistency in sustainability/ESG data governance practices.
  • Sales Enablement: Leverage data visualization and other tools to transform ESG data into actionable insights for sales and customer engagement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and refine sustainability/ESG metrics to align with evolving organizational goals and market demands.
  • Training and Support: Develop and deliver training sessions on ESG data systems, governance, and reporting processes.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a strategic advisor for crafting data-driven presentations tailored for customer engagement.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in data management or data governance, particularly within sustainability or ESG contexts.
  • Proven expertise in collaborating with Compliance and IT to develop and implement data systems and governance best practices.
  • Strong ability to manage cross-functional relationships and lead projects involving multiple stakeholders, including Compliance and IT.
  • Demonstrated interest or expertise in ESG/sustainability is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to anticipate needs, manage deadlines, and balance multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong quantitative and analytical abilities for data tracking and presentation.
  • Collaborative team player capable of building positive relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a willingness to learn new technology tools, including data visualization tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as needed
