Job Details
The Pharmacy Network Reimbursement Analyst is directly responsible for developing and managing the data analytics for payer contracts. Conducts analysis and compilation of key business indicators that are tied to reimbursement strategies and tracks payer reimbursement following the implementation of new contracts and continuous monitoring of existing contracts. Assists with administering payer contracting operations and supports additional pharmacy programs as needed
Location: Remote, USA
Hours: Must be able to accomodate 6am-3pm PST
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for designing, developing and implementing strategic contract analytics and reimbursement model(s) to identify area(s) for contract improvement and contract validation.
2. Accesses, analyzes and interprets all internal and external data sources to analyze reimbursement, gross profit, market position and market share to enhance contract negotiations and make objective, fact-based decisions.
3. Identifies trends in reimbursement and makes recommendations related to contracts, based on data-driven analysis.
4. Works directly with Cencora data team(s) to define data requirements and reports needed to extract and compile data to measure payer compliance with contracts.
5. Works directly with Cencora data team(s) to review external data feeds (e.g. IQVIA), to consistently improve methods to track and report contract related information.
6. Effectively communicates results and contract implications to management and internal departments.
7. Assists with the development of contract presentation materials for regional and national meetings, trade shows, and conventions.
8. Responsible for pre-negotiation preparations such as data gathering and contract analysis.
9. Participates in analysis to support negotiations with payers or proposals for new program opportunities.
10. Monitors customer activity, requiring the use of multiple systems within Cencora and Third-Party Provider data feeds.
11. Develops and maintains strategic relationships with peer-level contacts at PBMs or payers involved with retail pharmacy provider network contracting operations.
12. Through data analysis, identifies and resolves business issues that pertain to potential agreements and reviews and analyzes programs data to identify opportunities for Cencora sales executives and other stakeholders.
13. Participates and supports development of overall objectives along with the long-term goals of Cencora.
14. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
Broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, finance or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program. Normally requires a minimum of 3 years related and progressively responsible experience. Depending on function, may require background in pharmaceutical distribution/inventory management, supply chain operations with an understanding of reverse logistics and pharmacy reimbursement as well as the current and future business challenges pharmacies face.
Skills:
1. Knowledge of Cencora products, programs and services preferred
2. Understands broad role of various customer segments
3. Ability to work under pressure to balance competing priorities and to meet time sensitive deadlines
4. Strong organizational and analytical skills; attention to detail
5. Advanced analytical skills relative to financial tracking, building models, and profitability calculations using excel
6. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; interacts with all levels of associates and management within and outside the organization.
7. Strong interpersonal skills
8. Excellent customer service management skills
9. Strong navigation of multiple systems and the consolidation of data from various sources
10. Strong computer skills necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs
11. Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and/or statistical business intelligence software (e.g., Micro Strategy, AQT) is required.

Salary Range*
$72,200 - 103,290
*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
