The Role

** We request that this professional be onsite at our office on 333 Bush Street, San Francisco, three days per week (Mon, Tue, and Thursday). 

We are seeking a talented Content Marketing Manager to lead our content strategy and execution. This role is essential in driving brand awareness, thought leadership, and customer engagement through compelling and high-quality content. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with a strong understanding of content marketing principles and a passion for delivering value to our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy that aligns with business goals and drives brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
  • Content Creation: Produce high-quality content across various formats, including blog posts, whitepapers, ebooks, case studies, infographics, videos, webinars, and social media posts.
  • Editorial Calendar: Manage the editorial calendar, ensuring a consistent and timely flow of content that supports marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • SEO Optimization: Optimize content for search engines to increase organic traffic and improve search rankings.
  • Audience Research: Conduct research to understand the needs, interests, and challenges of our target audience, ensuring content is relevant and valuable.
  • Collaborative Projects: Work closely with product marketing, demand generation, design, and sales teams to create content that supports product launches, campaigns, and sales enablement.
  • Content Distribution: Develop and execute content distribution strategies to maximize reach and engagement across owned, earned, and paid channels.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze content performance metrics, leveraging insights to refine and improve content strategies.
  • Brand Voice: Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all content, ensuring it resonates with our audience and supports our brand positioning.
  • Thought Leadership: Establish Productboard as a thought leader in the product management space through insightful and authoritative content - engage internal evangelists and influential voices in Product Management. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging content formats to keep our content strategy innovative and competitive.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in content marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Writing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a portfolio of published content.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in content management systems (e.g., WordPress), SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush), and social media platforms.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze content performance data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and levels.
  • Creativity: Innovative and creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and design.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
