This position is part of the Scientific Applications Support Department located in Coralville, Iowa, Raleigh, NC, Boulder, CO, San Diego, CA, or Redwood City, CA and will be onsite. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Communicate with and support customers, in a timely manner, to provide pre- and post-sales technical support for a growing product offering

  • Answer customer inquiries received by phone, email, and chat and document all customer interactions in IDT’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database

  • Troubleshoot product use and applications by using customer provided data and information, as well as IDT sales and manufacturing databases

  • Support the complaint triage and investigation process and assists with complaint resolution by determining the cause of the problem, selecting, and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, and expediting resolution to the customer’s satisfaction

  • Handle the intake and completion of custom design requests

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences (Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.) or related scientific field

  • 3+ years of experience with genomics applications in an industry or academic research laboratory environment

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify key issues, and solve problems using critical thinking skills

  • Excellent communications skills

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Advanced Degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a relevant scientific discipline (biology, biochemistry, molecular biology)

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
