Polaris Networks is a global solution provider for wireless technologies. The company was started in 2003 by a group of former Agilent Technologies employees. Headquartered in the Silicon Valley in US, the company has two R&D centers in Kolkata, India. Polaris’ business is currently divided into providing software solutions in two broad categories, A) 4G & 5G Test & Measurement solutions, and B) 4G & 5G Deployment solutions. A) 4G & 5G Test & Measurement solutions Polaris provides a range of solutions that enables verification of functions and measurement of performance of various elements that comprise 4G & 5G networks. Test solutions from Polaris are tightly integrated into research, development and QA processes of semi-conductor and equipment vendors, operators, independent test and research labs. A) 4G & 5G Deployment solutions Polaris provide a comprehensive implementation of the core network elements for a 4G and 5G. This implementation is based on 3GPP specifications and also includes proprietary extensions to support use cases related to private LTE networks. Polaris LTE Packet Core is deployed in networks of Tier 2/3 mobile network operators, internet service providers, government agencies related to public safety and defense, companies in the energy (mining, oil exploration) and logistics (shipping) industry.
