The Legal Counsel will lead negotiations on structured financing transactions, work with capital markets and finance teams to structure deals with investors, provide legal and strategic guidance, and assist with general commercial contracts. A strong background in finance and legal risk assessment is required.

The Lead Counsel for Consumer Litigation will oversee litigation related to Upstart’s consumer lending products, manage a team, handle a variety of consumer disputes, drive case strategy, manage outside counsel, and collaborate with the product and regulatory teams to ensure compliance and efficiency in legal processes.
