About the Role

Our Workplace Experience Team is expanding, and we're seeking a proactive Workplace Experience Coordinator that will further our ‘people-first’ culture. This person will help manage the daily operations of the San Francisco office and enhance the overall office experience. We need a meticulous individual with outstanding communication, organization, project management, teamwork, and customer service skills to elevate our workplace to the next level.

We believe in the power of in-person connections. This role will represent and influence Sigma culture in the office by building relationships and assisting employees with their daily needs. It is critical for this role to be a proactive problem solver and someone who is always looking to improve things while proposing solutions and creating an exceptional workplace experience.

This role will have a 5 day in-office requirement based in San Francisco.

What You'll Do

  • Partner closely with People Operations, IT, Finance, Talent, Design and other cross-functional partners to ensure a positive in-office experience for your Sigma colleagues and their guests
  • Manage, order, and stock office supplies, snacks, coffee, etc.
  • Building liaison: communication with the building management team for any needs.
  • Supervise and QA janitorial staff in daily cleaning and kitchen maintenance.
  • Set up each new hire’s desk for their first day so they can hit the ground running
  • Help plan events designed to engage teams and drive incredible employee experiences, including but not limited to offsites, internal team events, happy hours, internal meetings.
  • Assist with space planning efforts to optimize the office floor plan for the needs of Sigma colleagues and their guests
  • Maintain health & safety procedures, in coordination with the People Ops team
  • Work collaboratively with Workplace Team on office aesthetics
  • Assist the Employee Experience Manager with staff engagement and Workplace communications, including but not limited to management of Workplace content.
  • Provide admin support to San Francisco office 
  • Support the Workplace Team on an ad-hoc basis.

What You'll Bring To Sigma

  • A “people first” mindset
  • 1-2 years of Workplace Experience and Office Management; experience within a technology or startup environment strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and creative skills, detail-oriented and ability to handle multiple and ever-changing priorities
  • Proven track record of being proactive, ability to solve problems, anticipating the needs of others, and asking clarifying questions to ensure understanding
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience organizing internal events
  • Experience working with vendors, contracts, and related documents
  • Excel in a fast-paced environment with high standards of excellence
  • Proven track record of driving projects to close

Additional Job details

The pay range for this position is $30/hr - $40/hr per hour.
