The Workday Senior Manager - Global Application Managed Services (AMS) should be a “go to” practice leader that provides expert guidance, advice, and development support to the Consulting management team and their subsequent team members. This individual will assist the sales team with sales activities such as orals, estimations, and Statements of Work (SOW’s). This person works closely with Engagement Managers, Project Managers, Managing Consultants, and leads, and acts as a liaison between the Consulting team and executive management.  This person will assist in identifying business needs, staffing projects, and ensuring that the work/life balance of our consultants is monitored and adjusted appropriately.

  • Manage a team of managers, functional consultants and technical consultants in delivering the set of assigned managed services accounts
  • Provide clients with expertise around best practices and Workday touchpoints (prior experience in Workday or other HCM ERP platforms around Benefits, Payroll, Time tracking along with Finance is mandatory).
  • Prior expertise around intersection with Gen AI and ServiceNow is preferred
  • Ability to help client work through difficult decisions
  • Facilitate project planning and execution. Assist Service Delivery managers in forecasting for project team.
  • Perform role of mentor and coach for people development
  • Contribute to billable delivery activities as defined by utilization goals
  • Assist in the recruitment, development, and management of a diverse, remote team of consultants supporting Workday
  • Promote a team-oriented, challenging, and innovative work environment
  • Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients and within the company; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence
  • Assist with escalations dealing with resourcing or project concerns
  • Mentor the team on a regular basis and ensure high morale and productivity
  • Contribute to new business opportunities within the account assigned
  • Support the RFP response and pursuit process for Post-production work, review estimates for sales opportunities, review SOWs for language and accuracy, and attend Orals & prospect meetings 
  • Contribute to practice building activities such as solution and asset development and talent development

Skills & Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Workday HCM/Financials
  • Able to multitask and perform a variety of duties.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to solve customer problems.
  • Good Analytical skills with ability to solve complex incidents, provide suggestions\best practices.

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until 07/29/2025 The annual salary for this position is between $154,304 - $205,960 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program , based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
