Role Expectations

Business Responsibilities:

Our managers are responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of all projects.

  • Regularly meet with internal project stakeholders to assess and improve the team's value delivery, ensuring we meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Identify and address knowledge gaps within the project teams, ensuring they’re adequately staffed and equipped to deliver high-quality work.
  • Join various project councils to oversee project deliveries, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Foster an innovation environment, encouraging creative thinking and developing new solutions to meet project and business goals.
  • Resource Allocation: Balance individuals and business goals to define project allocations, ensuring the teams have the necessary resources to deliver the best work.

Recruitment Responsibilities:

Our managers partner with our PeopleOps team to recruit the very best people.

  • Constantly assess the team's competencies and ensure you hire people to complement your current team, building the team you need to staff projects.
  • Participate actively in the hiring process, providing valuable inputs to improve recruitment.
  • Perform technical and executive interviews, train the team on interviewing techniques, and ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment process.
  • Participate in activities to enhance the hiring pipeline, such as attending technical and hiring events, writing blog posts, and posting on social media.
  • Collaborate with the department head to ensure the team's capabilities meet business needs and align on hiring progress.
  • Collaborate closely with the PeopleOps Team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires, including assigning a Peer Buddy and overseeing technical and project onboarding.

Technical Responsibilities:

Our tech-savvy managers understand the importance of keeping their hands-on skills razor-sharp.

  • Technical background in web development, with expertise in technologies such as ReactJS or VueJS; NodeJS, Go (Golang), or Python.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in their respective areas to drive innovation within the team.
  • Depending on our strategic goals, the manager may occasionally take a hands-on approach to projects or engage in business development tasks in coordination with the department head.
  • Advocate for their respective areas, being the go-to person for aspects of their area of expertise.

People Management Responsibilities:

Our managers play a crucial role in fostering the growth and development of our team members.

  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with team members to discuss their career progression, delivery expectations, performance, and engagement.
  • Guide team members in creating their career plans, helping them identify their skill gaps, and offering guidance on aligning their professional goals with the company's objectives.
  • Create an inclusive environment where team members feel valued, heard, and free to express their thoughts and ideas.
  • Assess individuals' performance regularly, identifying gaps, recognizing achievements, and guiding the team to meet business needs.
  • Encourage continuous learning and improvement through regular feedback sessions and technical and soft skills coaching.
  • Uphold ArcTouch's Culture and Leadership Principles, guiding team members to align with these values.
