About the role
The Regional Executive (RE) is a key member of PURE’s management team and leader of field operations for the Gulf/South Central Region (Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas & Mississippi). Reporting to the Zone Executive, the Regional Executive is responsible for the execution of PURE’s portfolio management and producer management strategies in the region to produce long-term, sustainable underwriting profitability, carefully balanced growth, and exceptional member enthusiasm.

This individual directly manages a team of Territory Managers in the region, who collectively oversee the development of strong, lasting relationships with PURE’s partner brokers and other key referral sources in the region. The Regional Executive is also accountable for bringing together and leading cross-functional teams of Underwriters, Risk Managers, Claims and others to collaboratively address important priorities.

Additionally, the Regional Executive is the most prominent representative of PURE in the Gulf/South Central Region, providing executive visibility at key industry events and serving as an important point of contact for local PURE members, industry regulators, trade associations, and community organizations.
What you’ll do

  • Successfully manage the Region’s Profit & Loss to annual goals/ targets.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management and Practice Leaders in the development of strategic plans for assigned states. Plans will include market share targets, growth and quality/profitability KPIs, as well as objectives and tactics pertaining to product, distribution, and infrastructure.
  • Management of PURE’s independent broker distribution throughout the Region in leading the team in creating strong and meaningful relationships.
  • Recruit and develop key staff including Sales & Marketing professionals and Underwriters.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to employees in the region, promoting PURE’s unique culture in the process.
  • Brand champion and ambassador among top independent agents and important centers of influence in the Region.
  • Develop a strong network of centers of influence; such as family offices, wealth managers, trust attorneys, and realtors, resulting in referrals for PURE.
  • Act as a liaison between the local marketplace agency distribution partners and our corporate office.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum of 10+ years of personal lines Property and Casualty insurance with management experience
  • High Net Worth carrier experience preferred
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required  
  • Demonstrated progression of increasing responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire others
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail, analytical and solid problem solving skills
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity, exhibit team spirit and enthusiasm, and establish trust and credibility
  • Agile learner who can quickly absorb information and apply it to current business situations
  • Moderate weekly or overnight travel is required
  • Strong preference for the candidate to reside in or relocate to the territory

The base salary for this role can range from $150k-$180k based on a full-time work schedule. An individual’s ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
