Vice President, Account Management, Digital Platforms

Overview:

The Digital Platforms team is responsible for cultivating and managing Mastercard’s strategic partnerships with key players across the digital payments ecosystem. We enable the biggest names in tech, e-commerce, and financial services to build best-in-class solutions leveraging Mastercard technology and to deliver them at scale – solving real world problems for our partners and their customers.
We’re looking for an individual to join our fast-paced, strategic team to manage and grow relationships with key global partners. This individual will enable our customers’ success by increasing the adoption of Mastercard products and services. This individual will be at the forefront of payment and financial services innovation delivering impactful and industry-leading capabilities to the market in collaboration with our partners.
Role
In this high-profile, customer-facing position you will:
• Lead the end-to-end customer relationships with global platform partners including building and enhancing relationships with key stakeholders
• Drive Mastercard’s go-to-market strategy with your partners across all Mastercard products and services.
• Identify new opportunities to expand our partnerships and evaluate and assess the strategic and economic impact of these potential opportunities.
• Co-innovate with partners to build new product propositions through close collaboration with Mastercard product development and innovation teams.
• Represent your customers’ and the market perspective internally at Mastercard, including within senior executives
• Lead all aspects of customer proposals (including crafting compelling RFP responses) and deal development (including business case development, commercial terms structuring, negotiations, and legal contracting) in close collaboration with key business partners (e.g., finance, legal, product, engineering) and regional teams.

• You’re entrepreneurial, a technologist and a self-starter who can effectively mobilize, influence, and lead cross functional internal and external teams.
• You enjoy engaging with internal and external stakeholders in matrixed organizations to get things done- if there’s a hurdle, you know what levers to pull to work around it.
• You have experience in deal development and can manage & lead a deal process end to end.
• You’re an relationship builder that creates trust internally and externally
• You consistently exhibit sound business judgement with established strategic/conceptual thinking and strategic planning skills.
• You have a passion for understanding how products, tools and solutions work. While you might not be an engineer, you’re endlessly curious as to how solutions function
• Given the scope of your work, exceptional project management and organizational
• You have executive communication skills
• You’re a data-driven, strategic thinker with financial acumen; and a deep curiosity that inspires you to deep dive on complex topics and unstructured problems to deliver creative solutions.
• You have a broad knowledge of the payments industry, including understanding of latest trends in digital payments, crypto/blockchain, gaming/metaverse, open banking on a global basis
• Bachelor’s degree required, Advanced degree a plus.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
