Job Description
As a Trader Assistant Analyst within our CEM Brazil Trading Team, you will leverage your data science and programming expertise to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our trading operations. Your role will be pivotal in facilitating seamless trade execution and spearheading process optimization initiatives. You will serve as a vital conduit between the trading desk and support teams, transforming strategic trading insights into executable operational plans.
Your responsibilities will encompass the governance of intraday trading activities, ensuring compliance and precision in execution. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with various infrastructure groups to foster a cohesive and integrated team dynamic, utilizing data-driven insights to support unified decision-making and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide close support to the trading desk, enhance operational support and leverage automation and data science techniques for improved decision-making and routines.
- Understanding of financial products: pricing, risk, controls, operational aspects.
- Perform/reconcile/control the booking process, while applying techniques to optimize the process and mitigate errors.
- Be a contact point for other internal teams (Operations, Infrastructure Groups), and external, like brokers.
- Strategic initiatives: assist on data collection, creation and enhancement of reports, preferentially employing programming and data science tools.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Clear and precise communication.
- Work effectively under a changing, high-pressure environment
- Proficiency in Python programming at an intermediate level the ability to develop and implement data science techniques. This isn't a coding function, but some level of coding is expected on the role.
- Attention to detail, high sense of organization, and a strong sense of ownership.
- Analytical and numerical proficiency.
