JOB DESCRIPTION
This role is HYBRID, on-site 3 days a week at our Northbrook, IL Office.
Join a fast moving, dynamic business supporting our Testing, Inspection, Certification (TIC) Industrial- segment with a focus in Energy, Industrial, and Automation (EIA). This team is on the cutting edge of technologies. The Technical Training Manager is on the forefront of leading impactful learning opportunities for engineers.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages global technical training activities for the Energy, Industrial, and Automation (EIA) segment of business, develops technical competency-based training plans, and monitors internal or 3rd party training initiatives in order to meet the organizations and customer technical training needs.
  • Responsible for the technical program delivery and technical design by assessing the internal employee or customer need, designing and developing content, implementing the program, and evaluating the results.
  • Works with regional Energy, Industrial, and Automation (EIA) leadership to understand strategic direction of operational needs in order to identify competency gaps
  • Develops, maintains and executes plans for staff competency growth and maintenance in each region.
  • Conducts ongoing evaluations to ensure effectiveness of technical training initiatives and makes necessary modifications as needed.
  • Responsible for delivering technically focused education events within various mediums, including instructor led classroom, digital deliveries as well as multi-medium blended based learning to various levels and functional disciplines of employees and customers.
  • May track and monitor local training budgets.
  • May oversee and manage the systemic components and personnel of a technically driven training and education infrastructure.
  • Responsible for the activity and utilization of a Global Learning Management System.
  • Responsible for large scale global technical projects.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree required.
  • 5-7 years of Learning & Development or Technical Training experience required.
  • Engineering background preferred.
  • Experience in a multi-national company preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of training, organization development and learning practices.
  • Experience with leading large training initiatives.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess organizational needed, administer programs, and managing complex projects.
  • Excellent facilitation skills on supervisory and management training.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Learning Management Systems and digital tools preferred.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
  • Experience in learning program management.
  • Knowledge of the EV, Battery and energy storage technology, Hydrogen Technology, Solar Panels, or Robotics preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts in use in areas of expertise, including application to complex, new, or unusual products.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English.


  • Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $105,000 to $130,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
