Business Operations helps guide and articulate technology strategy and is responsible for centralized program and project management, portfolio management and capital allocation, global roadmap and process management, incident management and space and resource management. The Operational Analytics and Reporting Team is focused on communications and analytical reporting for Service & Support Operations, which provides 24x7 centralized support to engineering organizations for request management, incident intake, major incident management, problem & change management and operational readiness.
Job Summary:
The Technical Analyst on the Operational Analytics & Reporting Team will drive data-driven decision-making by providing in-depth analysis, actionable insights and advanced reporting solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise in data analysis, proficiency in data visualization tools, and the ability to collaborate across departments to enhance operational efficiency and performance.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through rigorous quality control processes
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic and tactical business decisions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, comprehensive reports using data visualization tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and gather requirements that meet stakeholder needs.
  • Develop and implement efficient data models to support reporting and analytics needs, adhering to best practices and optimizing for query performance.
  • Implement automation solutions to streamline data integration processes, minimize manual intervention, and improve efficiency.
  • Communicate status, updates and project summaries via presentations, e-mail and direct communication with key collaborators and leadership.
  • Coordinate and lead regular meetings with regional partners to discuss data needs, insights, and updates
  • Excel at working with project partners to define project scope and objectives, and effectively communicate requirements to teams.
  • Monitor data-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analysis and reporting and recommend and implement improvements


Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • BA/BS in communications, media, data analytics, computer sciences or related field required
  • 3+ years of experience in digital TV/media-focused data analytics
  • Experience with, and a strong understanding of methodology, data and systems for matching data sets
  • Interest in data mining, analysis, and correlation, plus sharing the findings within the team and with strategic partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively present requirements, challenges, and solutions across internal and external teams and partners, plus effectively communicating complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Have excellent professional writing skills and can provide verbal explanations of status and technical issues with precision and accuracy.
  • Excel at working with project partners to define project scope and objectives, and effectively communicate requirements to development teams.
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills, including experience working with Confluence, PowerPoint, Airtable, ServiceNow and Keynote


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relational database query experience, including writing/optimizing complex queries against distributed data stores such as Aurora, Hadoop, Hive, Oracle, and Snowflake
  • Experience or familiarity with creation of dashboards and data visualizations using: CloudWatch, NewRelic, Kibana, DataDog, Splunk, Grafana, and Conviva
  • Experience working with business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Business Objects, Looker, etc.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques


The hiring range for this position in San Francisco, California is $76,600 - $102,700 per year and in New York, New York is $71,500 - $98,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
