Join our dynamic team to navigate complex risk landscapes and fortify technology governance, making a pivotal impact in our firm's robust risk strategy.
As a Tech Risk & Controls Senior Associate in our Corporate Sector and Risk & Controls team, you will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our controls and risk management frameworks. This role gives you the opportunity to ensure that our controls operate in line with firm, regulatory, legal, and industry standards. You will be fully engaged in duties that cover end-to-end requirements, including planning, executing work, designing, and testing. To excel in this role, you will need strong analytical problem-solving skills, and excellent prioritization and time management skills.
Job responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor technology risks, ensuring compliance with firm standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
  • Support implementation of effective controls in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to mitigate risks and enhance the firm's risk posture
  • Analyze complex situations, provide advice on risk management strategies, and support the implementation of risk mitigation measures
  • Administers the Control and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE) process
  • Monitors and reports issue volume across multiple systems
  • Support reporting and governance of controls, policies, issue management, and measurements, offering senior management insights into control effectiveness and inform governance work
  • Identify and act on automation and streamlining opportunities within Network Product Line
  • Support risk transformation initiatives in implementation efforts and helping track and share progress


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience
  • 2+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technology risk management, information security, or a related field, with a focus on risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
  • Experience in Automating, identifying, analyzing issues and escalating to required levels and attention.
  • Knowledge and understanding of information processing principles and practices
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
  • Genuine curiosity with a proactive approach to learning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with Confluence, Jira and Project Management
  • Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be Excel proficient.
  • Fast learner with an eye for detail
  • Ability to present to internal audiences and demonstrate excellent communication skills
