The M&A Tax Manager at Armanino will lead and manage tax advisory services for complex M&A transactions, providing strategic guidance on structuring, due diligence, tax planning, and post-transaction integration. The role requires expertise in both U.S. and international tax regulations, strong leadership abilities, and the capability to manage multiple client engagements. As a manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of associates and senior associates and developing client relationships.
Job Responsibilities

Lead and manage M&A tax due diligence processes, structuring transactions for both buy-side and sell-side clients, and advising on tax-efficient strategies, including financing, acquisitions, and dispositions.

Oversee the preparation and review of tax models, structuring presentations, and detailed due diligence reports, ensuring alignment with client objectives and compliance with tax regulations.

Manage the execution of complex tax research and analysis on M&A transactions, providing technical guidance on tax planning, tax risk management, and the application of relevant tax laws.

Supervise and mentor a team of associates and senior associates, providing on-the-job training and feedback to foster professional development and ensure quality deliverables.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on M&A-related tax issues, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of timely, high-quality service.

Assist in business development activities, including supporting proposal preparation, contributing to client pitches, and helping expand the firm’s M&A tax practice through networking and thought leadership.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

CPA or equivalent credential

Minimum of 4 years of experience in tax consulting/compliance within public accounting with a focus on M&A tax, International Tax, or Corporate Tax.

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. For Northern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $112,500 - $200,000. For Southern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $115,000 - $190,000. For New York residents, the compensation range for this position: $110,000 - $190,000. For Washington residents, the compensation range for this position: $115,000 - $175,000. For Illinois residents, the compensation range for this position: $95,000 - $155,000. For Colorado residents, the compensation range for this position: $95,000 - $155,000. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
